Subject: Konnect outputs
Hi,
I need help further understanding usage and scope of the outputs on the konnect. I see how it acts like a coil, but I am not savy/brave enough to work with these outputs until I understand their application better.
Can these outputs drive 5vdc inputs?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob,

The Konnect outputs act more like a switch not a coil.  Exactly what type of 5V DC loads do you need to drive?

Hi tom,

Here's some more details on the loads I am trying to drive. I am trying to use a c36 quad relay board from cnc4pc.
  On state voltage is 2-5vdc
Min on state input current 16mA
Max off state voltage .8v

Thanks for your help,

Rob

Hi Rob,

It looks like the C36 uses a darlington transistor input with internal pull down resistance to be sure to turn off.  So you should be able to use Konnect to simply switch the input to +5V

See the attached diagram.

Hi Tom,

That worked out great. Thanks for the wiring diagram!!!
It worked out great & we using the konnect outputs now.

Thanks,

Rob
